Hey Guys,

I’m getting pretty desperate and even thinking of selling my Chauvet kit (12k worth) to switch for a more reliable option …

Here’s what I did so far to solve the crashes:
- Did everything you suggested oh this thread
- Bought a brand new Macbook pro
- Went to the store that sold me the Chauvet kit and tried to troubleshoot the Showxpress app with no success (they blame Apple and Apple blames Showxpress)
- De-installed and reinstalled 5 times the software
- Tryied deleting ands reinstalling the efk_usb.dylib as mentioned on forums
- Spent 4 hours total with Apple support

Can you help me or point me toward a solution?

Please answer to this question.

When you do this:
- switch off/on your computer
- start the software with your lightshow
- go in the tab "Sequential List"
- open the project "LUX45 Version CompleÌte.seq"
- select the first line of the list (yellow)
- click on the button "Go" until to reach the last line

Do you always get the crash, before reaching the last line ?
Or do you get it randomly ?

Our goal is to be able to reproduce the crash.

We repeated the test around 50 times, and no way to see the problem.
In the meantime, we saw that the list was not automatically srolling in order to always see the selected line.
We released a new fix for that (https://thelightingcontroller.com/viewt ... =85&t=3438).
This is not supposed to fix your problem, but please try anyway.

This is the perpetual problem of debugging.
When we are able to reproduce the problem, it generally takes less than 24 hours to publish a new EXE/APP file which fixes the problem.
When we are not able to reproduce it, it might take a very long time to fix it.
And please be sure that we tried many times to reproduce the problem.
Sorry about that.

Support...

I browsed this thread quickly and think we have the same/similar issue for sequential list. We would crash 95% of the time (guessing). It would crash both with or without a DMX512 connected, on different laptops, running different versions.

We were able to grab the error report off of one of the crashes. I will attach it here. We don't use the sequential list very often now, but will start using it more and more. I am happy to help you get the info you need to troubleshoot and fix. Please let me know if you need any other information. Thanks!

THe file was originally a RTF format but it wouldnt let me upload that here. I see there are a bunch of characters in the .txt file. Try renaming back to RTF to get that to come through or send me another way to upload file. THanks!

Thank you for your help.
This error report says something like "bad memory access". It does unfortunately not specify where it is coming from.
So we still have to be able to reproduce this crash, here with our system. We will try again.

It is weird that it is so hard for us to reproduce it.
You should do some actions that we never do.
