Lights flash as it changes scenes in sequential list.

I am very new to this software. I've watched several videos and have programmed scenes for our winter musical in a few nights. I put them in a sequential list but when I switch scenes; the lights start flashing as it resets. It does stop flashing once it gets to what has been programmed, and then it does what it is supposed to do until I change the scene again. What am I doing wrong?
