We presently do not suggest Sierra (viewtopic.php?f=10&t=4608).
We strongly suggest V8.1.29.
We give support exclusively on the latest available software version.
If there is a midi problem in V8.1.29, we have to fix it (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=203).

I have upgraded to V8.1.29. Still no success with MIDI. It is able to 'learn' the MIDI command, but does not launch the cue. So, I know that it is hearing the command, it just won't execute.

I'm going to leave the show running and see about the crashing. But the MIDI is necessary.

I've further explored V8.1.29. I am still unable to successfully launch the MIDI cues. It is able to 'learn' them, but it doesn't depress the button when the cue is launched. What do you suggest?

I should also mention that I have tried this on 3 different computers using Yosemite, El Capitan, and Sierra. None of which launched MIDI cues correctly. And have tried two different MIDI interfaces - iConnectMIDI2 and Presonus MIDI interface - neither working for V8.1.29. Able to 'learn' the cues, but doesn't launch them.

All OS Xs and interfaces work with V8.1.00 beautifully on all three computers to launch MIDI cues. However, it crashes intermediately. I recognize that you do not support earlier versions, but I will be stuck using V8.1.00 until we can resolve the MIDI situation surrounding V8.1.29.

My current situation is V8.1.29 on OS X El Capitan.

I just tried the show on a Dell PC using V8.1.29. MIDI cues still won't launch.

Earlier, I tried recreating the entire show from scratch; still unable to launch scenes from MIDI cues.
Able to 'learn' the cue, but unable to execute.

So, in V8.1.29 > window "Button trigger" > tab "Midi", when you press "Learn" and you press the midi note, you see the correct informations of the midi note in the dropdown boxes (Device & Channel & Data) ?
Then you press "Apply", and afterwards, when you press the midi note, it does not trigger the button in Live ?

And it works in V8.1.00.

Please confirm that.

Correct. It is able to 'learn' the command and does pick up the correct information. But does not execute.

Works perfectly in V8.1.00

Noted.

And you confirm also it is same story with at least 2 different computers, and at least 2 different midi devices ?

Correct.

Computers:
iMac - El Capitan
MacBook Pro - Sierra
MacBook Pro - Yosemite
Dell PC - Windows 8

MIDI Controllers:
iConnectMIDI2
Personus MIDI Interface

I have also tried with two different Xpress DMX Controllers with all the equipment above and recreated the show from the ground up with new scenes.
All scenarios were able to 'learn' the command, but failed to launch the scene.
