Some general questoins

Postby Mightylighty » 02 February 2022, 07:53

Hi,

I just installed QuickDMX and you might could answer me some questions for the start.

1. Is there any difference between QuickDMX, Sweetlight and ShowXpress? They look pretty much the same to me.
2. I downloaded a Demo Show folder from showtec (attached) and I don't really get what file i should open up, when I click on "open lightshow". In which folder is the show? (Picture of the file-directory attached)
3. When i click on "Windows" there is an option called "Live Buttons windows" which is greyed out. Is this some kind of kiosk-mode and do i need a special licence for this?

Thanks and best regards

Hello,
Welcome to our software.
Here are the answers.

Is there any difference between QuickDMX, Sweetlight and ShowXpress?

Same software.
DMX interfaces offer may differ.

I downloaded a Demo Show folder from showtec (attached) and I don't really get what file i should open up.

Select main menu "File" > "Import Lightshow".

When i click on "Windows" there is an option called "Live Buttons windows" which is greyed out.

It will be available if you decide to create an additional window in the tab "Live".
Toolbar "Menu" > "Buttons settings" > section "Buttons tabs/windows" > button "Add" > column "Type" > dropdown list "Window" > button "Apply"

Is this some kind of kiosk-mode and do i need a special licence for this?

There is no extra license with our software.
You have full access to all functions.
