The Lighting Controller

As you could imagine, we need funds for Research & Development. The goal of this new software is to get new customers which will boost our sales of DMX interfaces. And this will allow us to finance again a future new software.

Unfortunately, like almost all manufacturers who need microchips, we have been impacted by the worldwide microchip shortage. Our production of DMX interfaces is presently limited.

Introducing the new software without being able to supply the expected higher DMX interfaces demand would be a disaster for us. We have to wait the microchip situation gets better, before introducing the new software.

Sorry for that. Just understand that we do not want that this new software will be the last.

Just note that this additional waiting time is not lost, we keep improving the new software.

The situation now.

We unfortunately need our ICs from the same IC manufacturer than the automotive industrie has. And the delivery priority is for the car manufacturers.
The official distributors are still postponing our delivery dates (for our orders made in May 2021). In the meantime, we still buy them from IC brokers at crazy prices.

However, the situation is so odd that we see sometimes one shot deals for high quantity at fair price. Not easy to get these deals. We are presently talking about one announced for April 2023. Fingers crossed.

In the meantime, we added nice new functions in the future new software.

We have ICs in stock. We can produce now.

We are presently doing the UX tests. The UX tests reports give us a bunch of extra works.
In any case, there is a date we can not change: the ISE tradeshow in end of January 2024 in Barcelona (Spain). We will show the new software in our stand there.
Then there will be no more secret to keep, so we could release a complete setup online of this new software.

Anyway, if we can proceed the release earlier, we will do it. ISE is a deadline.

We will show it next week in the tradeshow ISE 2024 (Barcelona - Spain).
And it will be available for download a few days after the tradeshow.

We found some bugs during the software demonstrations in the tradeshow.
We will first fix them.
