Please help me import scenes and get them to work?

Postby Chris7469 » 31 May 2019, 13:32

DMX newbie that needs a lot of help.
I just purchased Chauvet DJ Express 512 interface and downloaded the software.
I am running windows 8.1 on an intel core i7 2.-2.5 ghz touch screen laptop with 64 bit OS and 8 GB Ram

A fellow DJ had his light tech program 6 moving heads at a facility we both DJ at. The owner asked me to access his lights. My DJ buddy sent me all the pre programed light shows/scenes. Please see the attached screen shot of the files that were sent to me.

They are completely foreign to me. Can someone please walk me through how to get these files/scenes/shows working on my laptop within the software? I would like to make it plug and play. Go to Venue, plug DMX into their lighting box, open software and boom, I have a few pre programed shows that work.
ANY AND ALL ADVICE IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!! THANK YOU!! CM

Tell him to use the function "Export lightshow" to give you the lightshow.
And then use the function "Import lightshow" to load the lightshow.

Thank you for your response. He has agreed to only give me certain light shows.

I don't know if he will be able to do that for me.

Can I get this to work from the files that were sent to me? Or is that the only way?

Thanks! Chris

You can try to put these files in a folder, and put the folder in "../TheLightingController/".

Please note that we see the folder "ControlBoard", which means software V6.
If this is a V6 lightshow, the current software may be not able to read it correctly.
