Where is the 3DView "Clone" feature?

Postby bellum128 » 16 April 2014, 22:10

Maybe I haven't looked hard enough yet, but in V7 where is the "clone" feature that allowed the user to tie multiple copies of a fixture in 3DView to one DMX address?

Click on the editor tab, then the fixtures tab.
Right click on the fixture as displayed across it's dmx address.
Click on Duplicate fixture.

That actually creates a duplicated copy of that fixture, but in the old version of the software there was a way to create a new fixture just for the 3DView that simulated having multiple fixtures with the same address. So if you edited that one address all of the "cloned" fixtures in the 3DView would be altered as well.

OOps... I didnt notice that. You are correct.
If I make six duplicates in version 6, then open in V7 they are all there.
In fact, there is a "6" in the lower right corner of the fixture shown on the fixtures page of the editor tab, so it looks like they havent implemented it yet.
Good catch.
