Hey Luc,

Yes, I have tested this on my laptop as well as my studio PC that is built for video editing and music production. Same behavior on both. I sent a video and files to the support team to see if it happens for them. You can watch this video to see the phenomenon. https://youtu.be/Cpo1tyWvfbo

Well... my personal "solution" was to use Cubase and send a MIDI message (with "loopMIDI") to Sweetlight for each scene (no use of the timeline)... worth a try.

Luc, does that software work with the the Chauvet USB controllers? I just bought the Xpress-100 cable.

I had a previous problem, that if the wav file was created with Wavelab there were issues.
Is this problem only with your backing tracks, or is it the same with any other wav file

the loopMIDI is just that: a virtual MIDI loop; it's like a virtual MIDI interface in & out, for any MIDI capable software. There are several similar solutions available, like loopbe, probably better in fact...

I already use loop Midi. That sends the midi from Cubase to ShowXpress. My question was if the other software, sweetlight, will work with my Xpress DMX cable I just bought. I read somewhere that Chauvet just rebrands their DMX boxes.

I am using 2 tricks in getting the timeline synced:

- use the green triangle (spacebar) to move around in the timeline, rather than the red one (enter). although both may start on the same spot, I found that when replaying the timeline, the green one was more accurate
- add a video file to the timeline, even though you won't use it. use any mp4 file, set it to no sound and remove when you're done. this will also help in getting the software more on spot when moving around.

Hope this helps.

this mp4 "blank" or "black ???" file is intriguing...
That would point to a sync problem between audio and bpm...

I'm having the same problem. Wave file off from light show. Windows 10 64bit computer. Were you ever able to resolve issue?
