Unable to upload audio file to Timeline in MacOS [fixed]

We are brand new Showxpress users; have watched the online tutorials, and are able to create steps and scenes. Our problem is when we get to the Timeline, all of the options to add ANYTHING are greyed out! We are unable to add scenes or audio files to the Timeline; what are we doing incorrectly? Have we missed a step? Showxpress was just downloaded in March 2017, and we are running a MacBook Pro. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

We figured it out - click on one of the greyed out timelines, then hold down Command and click again. It sounds simple, unless you don't know that's what you're supposed to do!
