The Lighting Controller

Hello everyone,

I've been a sound guy for many years and am a complete noob with lights so please forgive me for any silly questions.

I have spent the weekend figuring out the showexpress software. (Trying to at least). For those of you with more experience than me, I am wondering how you are syncing your light shows with live bands. Also is there a way to sync a show with MainStage? It would be amazing if I could get a lights show to trigger off of my click track in MainStage.

If your using a PC you could use auto sync which utilizes the mic on a laptop to to trigger steps on a scene... If your using a midi sequencer you could also trigger scenes via MIDI... I've been curious to try using an Aux off the audio board to use a kick drum or another instrument to selectively trigger the auto sync... The Apple version dosnt include the audio trigger currently...

You can place your click-tracks in the audio part of timeline, and then stack all your light scenes at the exact points.
