V9 Beta - TimeLine audio often muted

Postby LightningFM » 07 July 2018, 15:52

Hello Support,

While using TimeLine to align some scenes to an MP4 file I I noticed that sometimes, when using the function "play from red marker" the audio from the media appears to muted.
See the third play of the timeline: https://youtu.be/2snbJYlKEL4
If I hit "play from the red marker" again generally the audio comes back and TimeLine works well, other times it doesn't and I have to play the TimeLine from somewhere before the beginning of the mp4.
I'm using SweetLight V9.0.2beta2 (64 bits) on Windows 10.

Edit/Update: restarting the TimeLine from a point before the beginning of the file (play from 00:01 with media beginning at 00:02) doesn't solve the problem, the audio is sometimes plays muted.

I tested the same Lightshow in V8.

I placed the red marker and began using "enter" on the keyboard to play the timeline every 5-10 seconds:
- for the first ten minutes, the audio was playing.
- after about ten minutes of testing (I was just about to stop and write the post) the audio began being muted every 6 or 7 "play" (often it happened that the audio started muted multiple times consecutively).

However, I also observed that:
- every time the audio starts in V8 there is some sort of digital noise sound that lasts for 00:00:20 (that didn't happen yesterday in V9)

I suspect that something might be wrong with the media file (?); however, I played the file with Windows Media Player, MPC-HC, "Film & TV" and VLC without any issue.

So this is not a V9 problem.

FYI, the good playing with "Windows Media Player" does unfortunately not guarantee the good playing from our software.
