Flash Buttons Exclusion

When I click a 'Flash' button, the previously selected scene (let's say red) stays on and the flash color mixes with the red. The old version 'flash' would turn off that previous scene color for the duration of the button being pressed, but then the (red) color would resume once the flash button is released. Is there a feature on this newer version that allows for that?
I have worked around it by using a "white" flash with all of the color channels jacked up to the max. But if I wanted to have a color combination scene, e.g., blue/red, to change/pulse/flash to the opposite, e.g., red/blue, I'd like to use the flash button and not click back and forth.
I have also set up a blackout flash button that excludes. It is that blinding "all white" with the 'turn off all channels' so when I let go, it goes black. The point being, I have used some of the button features.
Please advise.
I am using the ADJ 12X HEX RGBUAW fixtures.

So far, there is no change regarding flash buttons in V9.
Which old version are you talking about ?

Sorry but we are not able to compare with this version, which is too old.
We are able to compare only the current major version (V9) with the previous major version (V8).
