request - home Position

Postby muscanto » 28 March 2019, 12:33

The request is to have a screen section inside each fixture when you edit the fixture to default the Pan and Tilt value to a value other then 0 when the program starts up. When no scenes are enabled, the fixture's Pan and Tilt will go to those values as a default. Other programs refer to this feature as a "home position."

Understood.
But not easy to figure out because there are several tabs (Steps, Generator, ...).

Do you have any idea of where to put that function ?

Editor Tab > Fixtures Tab > Rick click on one or multiple fixtures > "Home Position" option.

The Option would be grayed out if fixture does not at least have a pan and tilt channel configured in it's channel properties. (upan and utilt not required)

A window pops up that includes the pan/tilt grid editor on one side and four faders with fields to enter manual DMX value 0-255 like the steps editor on the other side. (pan, upan, tilt, utilt)

If any of these channels are not enabled for that fixture, they either would either not show or would be grayed out.

Thank you!

Do you mean that, when the pan/tilt channels are not activated in Steps/Generator/Live, they will be at home position ?

+1 Well, most of us have this as a step scene, but yes. Saves me space on "Setup Page"

It looks effectively redondant to add a new "home position" setting window, while it can be built easily in tab "Steps", and then simply switched on or off in the tab "Live".
Saves me space on "Setup Page"

If it is not in the setup page, we will need a new button to active it or not.
