Add Macro freeze

Postby tjjano33 » 07 July 2017, 13:28

I am having the same issue. When I try to add a Macro button under my shows tab, the program either Freezes after the first try or I'm able to do 1 or 2 Macro buttons then it freezes.

I'm running on a Dell Inspirion, Microsoft Windows 10 Home, Intel Core i3-7100U CPU @ 2.40GHz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processors

I'm running version 8.2.18

My light show is to big to upload, I can send you a drop box link to get my light show

Please first post a video showing the crash, and then post the drop box lightshow link.

For what it is worth, I was able to determine that there are 2 scenarios that cause Showexpress to crash. The first scenario is when using a Timeline media file. When I remove the media file, the system did not crash.

The second scenario is when using just the Macro buttons (no Timeline), the system would crash when switching between Macro buttons too quickly. I am not sure if that would be resolved with a more robust computer with better processing.

I hope this information helps.

Thanks Slate83....my issue is SETTING up Macros. I'm going to test the show on my other laptop to see if I run into the same issues.

Switching between Macro buttons with a slow computer might bring some lag, but it should not crash anyway.
