"timeline" button flashes off lights

Postby James » 22 November 2016, 17:49

Example I have a blue LED Par light scene to walk onto stage to.

Press Button to start track and light sequence, as button file loads, lights go out in latest version?

If I click into Timeline to play in works fine

Older versions of software worked fine as well.

If I add the Blue scene button to beginning of track, lights still go out when the file loads?

any ideas

many thanks.

Please send your lightshow (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=168), and tell us how to reproduce this problem.
We will check that.

Please tell us also the version number of your previous software, with your lightshow was working fine which.

Recently sent you a lightshow (Massive Delay in Timeline)

Simply create a button to trigger a scene, switch a par on a stay on as an example
then have another Button to trigger a Timeline, as the file loads the original Par will go out

My laptop had installed an earlier 7 Version.

These earlier versions kept the lights on perfectly switching between timelines
problem with this latest version is that this bug switches all stage lights off every time I load a Timeline plunging me in total darkness...

In your lightshow, we added a new basic RGB fixture.
We made a one step scene with it (always red).
We added a button in Live for this scene.
We switched it on.
Then we press the timeline button which triggers your big timeline.
And we are not able to see the problem. By watching the dmx bargraph and 3DView, the RGB fixture seems to be always on.

With actual DMX lighting connected the lights go out

Installed latest 8 version software on 2 different PC's - one Desktop and one laptop and lights still go out

Installed an earlier 7 version back onto Laptop and lights stay on as they should

They go out as timeline file loads

Will have another look, but looks like I will have to stick with the earlier 7 version for now

Hi Cleanly installed latest version (8.2.10)

The flash bug is still in here?

If I have a simple scene switched on (so I can see stage with LED Pars)
and I click to play my Button timeline all the lights go out for a second before timeline starts, no matter what I do, I can have the same scene at the beginning of the timeline, they still go out.

This is in the BUTTON section, If I go into the TIMELINE panel with the same loaded file and with the original Stage Lit scene on it works fine, no flashing so it is within this Button section

Any ideas how to cure this?

many thanks

This BUTTON light off bug seems to be when the file is loading

If I have a particularly large file loading the lights will actually flash slowly on and off whilst the file loads, then starts and works as normal.
