Need to visualize Pause Button at Midi Controllers? [fixed]

Postby MTF Showtechnic » 14 October 2016, 10:38

Hello,
just tried to visualize the "Pause" Button on a Midi Controller.
Done the following:
Assigned the "Pause" Button to a Novation Launchpad Button.
Works
Created an empty scene and added it to a Live page.
Assigned the same Launchpad Button to the empty scene and Midi Out as clone to the Launchpad Button.
Doesn't work!
Problem is that "Pause" , "Freeze" and "BPM/Drum" are triggered with the positive edge of the Midi Button, but scenes are triggered with negative edge.
So if you do as described the "empty scene" will only be paused!
Is it possible to change the triggering of "Pause" Function so that it can be visualized on a Led of a Midi Controller?
Then this very small "Pause sign" won't be conspicuous.
Any other solution?

And another question:
Where can I download the recent version of "Quick DMX" with the "up to Date" Fix??
greetings from germany

Noted.
In our opinion, the best solution is the button "freeze" straight sends a midi message output ?
Please confirm.

All software available here are up to date, with the latest fix : viewtopic.php?f=85&t=114
There might be some delay with other locations.

Hello,
Midi Out for "Freeze" would be fine too, but it's not really necessary.
The trigger flags of Midi Signals doesn't matter here.
This can be done with an empty scene as I described.
However, for Software beginners it would be appreciated.
I think Midi Out for "Pause" is necessary because it's a very small Sign in the Menu.
Most users are working with Akai's APC's. So with Midi Out at "Pause" there could be a flashing Led (for example the APC Mini)
Here it's very easy to flash a Led as warning ! Hey you've just hit the Button Pause !
Hope you're confident.

Ooh btw:both URL's don't work

and (fix file)
greetings

Noted for the "freeze" button.

Regarding the link of the fix, there is effectively no available fix file presently.
We just added a comment for that here: viewtopic.php?f=85&t=114

Hy,
if I understand right:
Only "Freeze" Button will send out Midi in the future?
Not the "Pause" Button?

Should be fixed in next fix file.

Hy,
thought that you changed the Midi behaviour of Pause/Freeze, respectively a Midi Out Signal for these 2 functions :?
I've just installed the latest fix (8.1.30) - forgotten?
