[MacOS] The scene is not played, after migrating LightShow

I recently swapped hard drives on my computer.

When using my light show now, some of the buttons don't trigger the actual scenes that they are supposed to trigger. They don't work at all. I can fix this by using the "Change file" function for each button and linking them with their correct scenes, but I have about a thousand scenes and it'd be very time consuming to fix like this.

I should also mentioned that not all of the buttons do this. This only happens on certain pages.


Is there a way to make all of my buttons within this light show automatically re-link to all of the correct scenes?

I'm using OS X 9.5 with ShowXpress version 7.1.8.0.

I figured out the issue with some of the buttons.

Inside the "Scenes" folder, some of the scenes that were not being triggered properly happened to be in a subfolder called "Generator". No idea how this happened as I never created this folder or put these scenes inside it, but it looks like when I migrated, all of the buttons expected to find all of the scenes in the "Scenes" folder, when they were actually in the "Generator" subfolder. Almost all of these scenes are ones which used a "fader button" to trigger.

As for the static scenes / buttons, those scenes were actually in the "scenes" folder, so I'm not sure why the buttons didn't remember their location. :/

In Generator, the generated scenes are stored in the folder "../YourLightshow/scenes/generator/".

Please tell us the name (and page) of one or two buttons which are not working.

Currently, there are known issues on these pages:

- MASTER - GW - RGBA - Amber (cc)
- MASTER - GW - RGBA - Blue (cc)
- MASTER - GW - RGBA - Green (cc)
- MASTER - GW - RGBA - Red (cc)

We see the problem. For an unknown reason, sometimes the full path of the file is written, instead of the relative path.
We do not know why this happen, but you can quickly fix this like this:
- edit the file "../TheLightingController/LightShows/if & when/Live/live.ini"
- search all lines starting with "name = /Users/ryanvandrie/TheLightingController/LightShows/if & when /scenes/..."
and remove the text "/Users/ryanvandrie/TheLightingController/LightShows/if & when /scenes/"

For exemple, replace the line "name = /Users/ryanvandrie/TheLightingController/LightShows/if & when /scenes/GW-amber-midstage.sce"
by the line "name = GW-amber-midstage.sce"

Please make a backup of your lightshow, before doing this.
