[Request] master focus for moving heads [done]

Postby av-shack » 21 November 2015, 16:59

Hi,

Is it possible to have a master focus fader for the Live page? We need to run shows in tiny restaurants where the moving heads are almost on the wall but then the same show goes to a hall where there's 20m between head and wall. All our show is done on timelines for each track so a master focus fader which overrides the focus of any programmed scene that i can set when arriving at the venue would be very helpful.

Cheers

Paul

You can use a "Fader Button".

Thanks for the reply but could you please elaborate. What is a fader button? and how do I make it suit this? I can't find fader buttons anywhere.

Create a 2 step scene with focus at 0 for first step, focus at maximum for second step... make sure faders are in snap mode for both steps
Save scene... open it in live and right click on button and make it a fader button... Incorporate the use a Macro to to use predetermined focuses
two step scenes can be used this way for other things as well as focus such as Pan/Tilt, Strobes, and alot of other things
