Nothing happen with Master Faders [fixed]

Postby Pink LD » 19 December 2014, 10:22

I have tried everything, looked through the manual, searched the forum, and nowhere do I see an explanation of how to make it work. Can anyone walk me thru how it works? I am very experienced with this software but it is driving me nuts that I can't figure out how to make this feature work.
Thanks.

Yes. And there are2 menu choices, one to edit the name of the fader, tbe other to designate if I wishe the fader to be connected to a dimmer or colour channel.

I have designated one master fader to the dimmer channel, and the other three faders to RGB respectively. With the 3D window up, the DMX bargraph up, and with Live's 3D and DMX outputs in green, as well as having an actually fixture set up; nothing happens no matter what I do with the faders. No DMX output seen on the bargraph, on tbe 3D window, or the fixture itself.

Though I can make the fixture, 3D window and bargraph work find with Editor, or saving scenes from Editor and placing into Live.
So my software, hub, and fixture work. But not the Master Faders.

Seriously?!? What am I doing wrong?

The Master Fader moves proportionally the current levels.
This means when the channel level is zero, + or - 100% of zero still makes zero.
You have to drive this channel with a button in Live, in order to see the effect of the Master Fader.

Ok, I have it working, but that sure wasn't very intuitive to me.
Thanks Niffo.
