"fade out" + "pause at end " - dmx values stay on [fixed]

Postby gilsontech » 13 July 2014, 19:19

In v7 I'm getting an issue with DMX Values staying on.

If I turn on a few buttons in Live or Editor and then reset editor and turn off all buttons in live, all DMX values should be set to 0, but they're not.
It's keeping values in the memory and keeps sending out old values.

Any ideas Support?

We are not able to reproduce this.
Can you reproduce with any lightshow, or do you need a specific lightshow ?
If you need a specific lightshow, please post a ZIP of it. We will check that.

Does "reset Editor" mean you press the button "new scene" ?

Email Sent.

Yes, I reset the Editor by clicking a New Scene.

Thanks.

I would go through the button under my "Scene" page and after I went through them and they were all unchecked DMX values remained on until I restarted the software.

We are presently not able to reproduce the problem.
Please note that we have to wait 4 seconds (fade out time) after the buttons are off, in order to get back to "zero" values.

I'm currently having this issue as well. Is there any fixes to it, other than creating an "OFF" cue?

I've finally figured out what causes the issue. It only happens with buttons in live that have "Pause at end" enabled. When the button is on then unchecked certain values stay on like any movers X/Y values. When I turn off (uncheck) "pause at end" even when the button is no longer live, the values all drop to 0 (as it should). I have reinstalled the software from scratch with the newest version (7.1.19) and it still does this.

We made a test with two scenes with pan/tilt, shutter and dimmer channels:
- scene1 - pause at end, fade in, fade out
- scene2 - fade in, fade out
But we were not able to reproduce the problem.

Could you please repost (or resend) your lightshow, and tell us the exact procedure to reproduce this problem.
