Profiles in pixel view are gone

Postby Nelsound » 20 December 2022, 04:03

All the profiles i have created in the pixels view have disappeared. This is the 3rd time it has happened in the past week. Some but not all of my pixel scenes work when triggered from live tabs. All the actual pixel scenes that were created for my fixtures seem to be intact because you can see the highlight of where my fixtures used to be. The error log has pages of "send DMX frameskip".

An odd symptom in all this is when I said some but not off my scenes work..... the ones that do work show the highlighted outline of where my fixtures used to be.... Like they were invisible but still there. Just out of curiosity I tried creating a new effect in that same space but no go.

I've got 4 big lighting events for x-mas and new years and the pressure is on.

Windows 7 !
Are you using the current software version (V9) ?

If yes, please post a link to download a zip of your lightshow and we will check it.
If not, please upgrade to the current version of our software, but this may require a PC with a more recent Windows OS version (https://thelightingcontroller.com/viewt ... f=7&t=7525).

First of all to answer your question.... I am running Version 9.2.38-220617 - 64 bits. And further checking this particular laptop, (I have many), is running Windows 7 Home Premium with 8 gigs of ram.

On a personal note... The file called Main is what I accomplished last night trying to to get caught up and the other, (the latest backup I had but still part of this issue when it started), is about a week prior and the one called 3 Universes B is when eveything was working properly. I hope having a comparison helps.

And a major question here if I may.... I purchased the video series in the hopes of finding a way to send the DMX info in real time or any other way so I can record it into a DAW. The MIDI coming in to trigger scenes from a keyboard or sequencer I get. But when doing a live show I use the ascii keys, keyboard, Akai MPC and a mouse. Is it possible to record everything that happens as midi onto another computer/sequencer/DAW etc. It would be nice to be able to play back the performance to a video that was recorded at the same time, make corrections or changes and perfect the show as it goes.
I realize that Showxpress does not have time come capabilities but the shows I'm working with are tracked so it can be pretty tight.

In our knowledge, this is not possible to do manage DMX with a DAW.
And this should be possible with midi.

However, our knowledge regarding DAW is very limited. So we added your comments into your post, hoping some users bring more answers.
