How to achive a rain effect on the pixel bars

Postby thorehl » 14 May 2018, 18:07

I'm messing with Pixel for the first time, and trying to achive a good rain effect on the pixel bars.

Hey mate,

For a rain effect I use the "Picture Motion" function.

Download a small image of cartoon rain with a black or alpha (transparent) background.
Add that into Picture motion.
Turn snow effect on
Make the movement go "down"
increase Blue to max and turn red and green all the way down.

And hey presto you're done!

If you're still confused I'll make a video later today.

Not getting the effect i’d hoped for. Found a snow.png with nice black background but due to limitations in the software, I can’t tweak the white

Oh wow! Thank you for taking your time to make this.
I’ll give multiple layers a go.
Again. Thanks you.
