I think this has been requested before; If not, I'm formally requesting it now. Can we please get grouping of fixtures in the generator? It would be very helpful to have the offset affected in groups instead of just individual fixtures. I have attached an edited screen of how I envision the groups to function inside the software.

Selection number of groups should be at least 8 groups if not more. The generator would treat each group like a fixture and send the same DMX values to any multiple of fixtures in the same group.

This is presently not 100% clear for us, for we are afraid that you are asking for a "Super Generator" which is far more powerful than the existing one.
Please tell us more regarding the using, because there is already in section for the groups.
So you mean sub-groups into groups ?

Here is a use example:

I have 8 fixtures and I want them to move in a circle pattern with the Pan/Tilt generator but I want 2 of the 8 fixtures to be at the same position all the time. If I shift the fixtures by the maximum allowed amount of 12.6% (100/8), they will be equally spread around the circle.

If I want 2x fixtures at 12 o'clock, 2x fixtures at 3'clock and 2x fixtures at 6 o'clock and 2x fixtures at 9 o'clock (before hitting playback), I would create 4 groups and put 2 of the 8 fixtures in each group and the software would use the groups in the draw window for the shapes instead of the individual fixtures or creating separate generator files.

It's possibly as a work around to draw the same shape over itself several times to accomplish the same task but very tedious and time consuming.

Attached is a picture of what it would look like with that example.

So you could not just do 1&2, 3&4 etc. but also
1,3,5,7 and 2,4,6,8

or outer to inner like
1&8, 2&7, 3&6, 4&5

etc.

"grouping" is not the best name for that function.
We wil presently call it "Attach fixtures within groups" ("attach"like with the layers with Photoshop/TheGimp).

This could be easily accomplished by adding a button called "Sort by every other."

Other software has a similar function when working with multiple fixtures in a pattern generator.

I'm guessing you do not want to confuse this new feature with fixture groups.

"Fixture Linking" would make more sense to me.
