The Scene is different when played in Live [fixed]

Postby ccondo » 03 March 2018, 01:35

I have a weird issue. I have 2 moving head lights that when I play the generator scene in Live is MUCH different than if I edit the scene and then play it inside of the editor.

I have recorded a video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Art_UOtY6NE&feature=youtu.be

Much appreciated if someone can help me.

Please check there is not another running scene in Live, which overrides some channels.

Thanks for the reply. That is not it. I can exit showxpress load the scene and it will do this.

Please do this:
- duplicate your lightshow
- open this copy of your lightshow
- in Live, delete all existing pages & buttons, and leave only the button which triggers the scene
- send us this copy of your lightshow (https://thelightingcontroller.com/viewt ... ?f=3&t=168).
We will check it.

File sent via Drop box to the support email address.

The problem is still there even with only 1 button in ShowXpress

We checked your lightshow.
It works as expected when only one button is on.

I don't believe the linked to thread is particularly helpful. It can be read many ways especially the comment 'non used channels must remain non active'. It's a double negative and should be reworded. It caught me out as well. What it means is that if you disable a channel, the previous setting for that channel will remain active. If you set the channel to zero, but don't disable it, it will set the channel to off.

So to be clear - when you open the light show and press the UpstairsCoolScene1.2 button - does it start out with blacklights?

OK - I found out what is happening and it MUST BE A BUG.

If I load the scene in the editor and play it with the pan tilt selected on the left, the output is different than if I had the color Channel selected on the left - I am not turning them off or on, just selecting them to watch the graphs. I am completely stopping and starting them each time.

Just to be clear, are you refering to the way the graph looks different between the pan & tilt and other random channels?
