The Lighting Controller

I am trying to fix some latency issues when triggering the lights thru midi on the live button screen. Does anyone know of a great USB to midi converter with no latency? Right now i am using a Ederol UM-1 ex. Also if anyone know of a good audio driver and where i can download it. I am using a Dell with windows 7 (cracked). I was gonna try a newer better midi to usb converter maybe one that has 2 seperate midi inputs to eleminate the midi thru and merge that could be causing some latency too....THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!
