Running 2017 version

Postby av-shack » 13 January 2024, 22:32

Hey,
I'm still having to run version 8.2.28 from 2017 on windows 7. My dongles are the old version and updating the drivers didn't work. (not that I've tried it recently) I'm thinking of getting a back up laptop which will have windows 10 on it. Could someone just confirm that version runs fin with win 10? Thanks

Please tell us what are your old DMX interfaces.
We will check whether they work with the current version of our software.

Thanks,
I'm not sure which versions they are. I bought them in 2015 Will the serial number help? Are there any clues in that which might tell you what they are? SN/:04313200015040063

I would love to update to the newer software if it is possible.

The current version of our software (V9) supports this DMX interface.
BUT, you have to change the USB driver.

Thanks for that. So just to confirm... All my lighting timelines and scenes would still work in the new software even though there's been a few updates since? I am tempted to update but last time I had such a nightmare trying to sort it out I ended up having one one of you guys do it remotely.
Also does V9 run on windows 7? I still have one win 7 laptop that it would need to run on before switching over to win 10

Please read this regarding Windows 7: https://thelightingcontroller.com/viewt ... f=7&t=7525

Your V8 lightshow should work ok on V9.
