Audio synching trouble [fixed]

Postby Romvert » 24 June 2022, 17:48

I'm having trouble inputting audio via cable into the show express software. It seems like it doesn't hear through any other means but the laptop microphone. Is there any way I can get it to do that?
Also trying to understand what the step 3/1 means in beat speed properties.

I'm still not seeing an answer here. What should be input and what should be output? I don't see any options in sound settings to go from an outside input or software, to the show express.

The window "Sound Settings" of the Operating System is supposed to list all existing sound equipment of your computer (microphone, jack in, CD-ROM driver, ...). You have to select the chosen one as input.

The only other choice is stereo mix(Realtek audio) which is not recognized by your software.

We made a recent test to verify and it straight worked with our setup with the default OS parameters (https://youtu.be/TqsNN418mUw).
But sometimes other OS configurations need parameters and rights managements to be adjusted.

Well, first off all you are playing a track from inside the computer, not the line in. Secondly, looks like your microphone button is pressed, which picks up from the laptop microphone, correct? I tried to run line in and mic button pressed and the software crashes.

Bottom line is that I can't figure out how to get scenes to follow just the beat and nor the noted duration. How do I do that?

In the screenshot, our software sees the sound from the external 3.5 jack socket. We can plug in this socket either a microphone or a line out from an external music player.
In the video, our software sees the sound from a music played by the Windows music player.
