Dear support ,

I am an Dutch based Quick DMX reseller.
By 10 January i have to install an compleet lighting show based on a quick dmx rack controller.

Please advise me if i use the right computer.

I am having troubles with the playback of timelines using macro buttons ( 3 different buttons).

When i am touching the buttons reletivly fast , to change the time lines the computer freezes.
after a couple of switching actions between macro buttons.
The time lines are all 3 approx 1 hour long.

The problem also happenes with no Quick dmx rack connected ! so it is not an Quick Dmx hardware problem.

I run software version 8.2.28 on a quick dmx rack controller
I use an Asus all in one pc with windows 10 home edition with the latest updates installed.

It is a brand new computer.

A4110 SERIES CPU CELERON j3160 1,6 Ghz
internal ram 4 GB
64 bits system, x64 processor
SSD drive 118 GB in use 67 GB

On my programming laptop all works fine but not on the (sold) asus all in one pc.

Also simulair shows oparate on older en even less advanced all in one asus pc's but are running on windows 7 professional.
We delete all unwanted software and automatic software updates are disabled, so we assume there are no unwanted running programs in the backgroud.

Is this computer suitable for running Quick dmx software ?

Thanks in advance,

Please post a backup of your lightshow (https://thelightingcontroller.com/viewt ... ?f=3&t=168).
We will check it.

Dear Support,

I will send you the files , but in the meantime i found a work around in Windows 10.

I found that you can optimise to run a program made for an older version of windows.
When i choose optimise performance for a program designd to run under windows 8 there is a slight delay in the action after starting a macro, but the computer does not freeze anymore.

Thanks for your support.

Thank you very much for this info.
Weird indeed.
We will make some research about this.
