I recently updated from ver 7.xx? to 8.2.28 and now the auto bpms stopped working. At first showxpress would show that it recognized a bpm signal after checking the bpm box on the live panel, but now it doesn't show anything whether checked or not.

Anyone else have this happen? I've tried uninstalling Showxpress and re-installing but no joy.

in live you have to select the box you want auto Bpm to work and right click it (speed Properties) and change it to auto Bpm

I had this issue. Chauvet support recommended updating Windows. I updated Windows to current (including the Fall Creator Update) and it appears to have resolved my issue.

I'm having the same issue. Running ShowXpress v 8.2.28 on a Windows 10 laptop (details in my signature). I see the levels moving in the Auto BPM window & my scene has been set to Auto BPM in the Speed properties, but it does not work. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

UPDATE: I discovered a solution... I 'boosted" the microphone levels. Here's how to do it in Windows 10.

Right-click on the speaker icon in the lower right corner of the taskbar
Choose "Recording devices"
Right-click on the Microphone and select "Properties"
Select the "Levels" tab
Increase the slider of the "Microphone Boost"

This worked for me... Hope this helps you too!
