Fade default on new scene

Postby muscanto » 28 November 2018, 13:31

Is there a way to set the default fade on a new scene for all channels that are activated?

It seems like channels default to fade on a new scene and I cannot find a setting to change that. It would be nice if there was a button that would override them to on/off instead of fade as default when you activate channels. I tend to need on/off more then I need fades and it's extra work building scenes when I have to change this setting at the start of a new scene on each channel and would be faster if I could default it the other way as an option.

Thanks

This is unfortunately not possible.
We suggest you to make your customized default scene, and to use the "Save As" function instead of the function "New scene".

Alternatively, you can build your own scene and save it under the name "default.scex".
The button "New scene" will open this scene when existing.

This will be a good work around for now. In the future, how about adding a new button on the top row of the editor that changes the fade value on all channels and steps of all active channels in the scene you are editing?

Looks like a "single user" requirement.
Please note that it is already possible to change several channels together, with the multi-selection of channels (the red check mark).

+1

It would be very nice to set a Start Time for Scenes Editor in Properties.

The concept of this is good, and I would favour an addition to the "Right-Click"->"Fade In/Fade Out" to prompt for how many seconds.

John - why would you want default fade in / fade out times in Steps mode? This seems like something that should be exclusive to Live mode (and is already available mind you)

TimH,
You have obviously misunderstood what I have tried to say

Apparently so. Could you clarify what you meant?
