How to change the font for the text ?

Postby zkflow » 02 December 2013, 01:03

I have this problem. I'm using a setup with low number of pixels, and when i try to use text function, generates to me a lot of pixels hard to read in the fixtures... for me the best font to do configuration with low number of pixels its "SMALL FONTS REGULAR" because only generates the exact pixels (without innecesary shadows) for a good reading.

THANKS!

This is just a work-around:
-Write the text in the font you want and save it as a picture, like a .gif
-upload the picture to your button in Live
Now the size of the buttons vary depending on how many buttons you have on each page so you'd have to play and tweak to get a desired result, but it may help in the interim until support can give you a better, clearer answer/solution.

We suggest you to create a picture with your "chosen font" text and transparent background (.png).
Then you can try the "Picture motion" effect.

This is an effect in Pixels, to show and animate pictures on LED's fixtures.

Ok, I don't use Pixels as yet. But O have some fixtures slated for a NES lighting/set design in the new year that I will need Pixels for.

ok, works great with small words (or initials, in this for my production company "RV")... now when i try to improve a larger text "happy birthday anthony" (for example) pixels "compress" the PNG image... now what i can do?

THANK YOU

Thank you for the clear explaination.
We note in the ToDo list: "Check possibility to change (multi-OS) font".
