Hello,

I have followed all of the guidelines in this thread http://forum.thelightingcontroller.com/viewtopic.php?f=48&t=718 but still can't get the Live Mobile app to connect to my computer. The app just says "Unable to connect to live". I'm running Live Mobile v2.3.3 and Sweetlight v7.1.63 on Windows 8. I have tried the app on both Android and iPhone but still no luck.

Could anyone offer any advice?

- Did you restart the software after enabling "External app" in preferences ?
- Did you check "External control" in Live settings ?
- Is your phone connected via WIFI on the same network as the computer ?
- Are you able to ping the computer from the phone and/or ping the phone from the computer ?
- Do you right use the local network IP address of the computer in Live_Mobile settings ? (192.168.x.x, 10.x.x.x, ... you can see it in preferences)
- Do you right use the same port number in Live_Mobile and in the software preferences ?
- May be you have a firewall on the computer who blocks the communication

I managed to connect today by completely disabling my firewall. Also, I had been using the external ip address instead of my local ip.

Now that I've managed to get Live Mobile to connect to my computer, is there a way to pause a timeline and resume playback from the same point? I could only figure out how to stop the timeline and start from the beginning. I need to be able to pause the timeline without exiting the ScreenControl window and showing my audience the program interface. Sadly, Sweetlight seems to be unresponsive to pressing the space key while the ScreenControl video window is maximised.

The best is to use ScreenControl on another screen to be able to have control on TimeLine interface.
But integration of TimeLine controls in Live_Mobile seems to make sense.

I have tried using a second screen (projector) for the ScreenControl window. However, when I double-click the ScreenControl window in the second screen to fully maximise it, it maximises in the first screen. It works when not fully maximised - when the taskbar at the bottom and the title bar at the top are still visible, but these two bars are quite disruptive for my show. I can hide the taskbar but haven't found a way to hide the ScreenControl title bar in Windows 8.

In ScreenControl properties (right-click), you can choose the screen for full screen mode.

That seems to solve the issue. Thanks a lot!
