Venue Thin Pars > Red has to be on...

Postby Mikedupproductions » 20 June 2012, 18:11

I guess my last post got deleted?

So I'm running version 6.29 with a 512 plus on Mac 10.7.4. When I put the Venue Thin Par ( http://download.thelightingcontroller.c ... dPar64.txt ) into the editor the first channel (red) has to be on for channels 2, 3, & 4 to work. Channel 6 which has a color mixer & color changing programs do work though. These functions didn't work like this on my last piece of software & don't work like this on my other hardware controllers. Any help would be great.

Upon turning the system on today I discovered something new. I had restarted my system this morning. When opening the software I went & tried to duplicate the problem by turning on the Green & Blue channels (2 & 3). Well they WORKED! Until I hit the red channel & now its acting like a dimmer again.

Not deleted, but moved in another section (because it does not concern the program Editor).

Please give give us a link of the manual of this fixture ; then we could check that.

We made a small lightshow with this fixture.
With 3DView, we can see the color mixing works.
With the dmx bargraph, we can see the dmx levels follow the faders in Editor.
So we do not see any problem.

May be there is a problem with the fixture, or the dmx chain (?)

I went through & checked everything you had checked, it does work from your point. The fixtures themselves are not responding correctly to the interface or software. Would it help if I posted a short video? I've tried changing the cabling & the fixtures work fine on other software & hardware

Can you try the lightshow called "demo_show", and tell us if this one works correctly ?

Everything in demo_show works fine. Editor levels, live buttons, 3d view for both.
