Deleted Fixtures

I deleted a fixture in Fixture setting and then deleted fixtures in DMX addressing. I then Created a new Fixture in fixture setting and added a fixture in DMX addressing. I am trying to reuse some of the channels i just freed up. There are no scenes for the old fixture in the file. Yet in Editor the channels show up with no names in the header as if the channels are being used. How do these channels get deleted in editor?
