Sweet Light Remote to control 722 Flood lights

Postby Baker » 27 December 2011, 09:05

Dear Sir,

I had a customer in Kuwait where he has 3 different types of Flood light groups.
1. Group 1 (AH1,2,3,4 – your product – 1 pair Cable type) - 64 pcs
2. Group 2 (P1a – Lovely lights – 1 pair Cable type)- 39 pcs
3. Group 3 (Pa – Howell lights – 4 pairs Cable type)- 619 pcs

The customer wants to connect all these Flood lights to one centralized Controller PC Base ( Sweet Light Remote).
1. Can we do that??
2. If yes , The way to connect these three different groups to the sweet light Remote together? Do we need Hub or something like that?
Please note that the cable types are different!!
3. Do we need Jokey device before Sweet light?? Or PC is enough?
4. The procedure (in brief) to load your product on sweet light & how to control??
5. For the One pair Cable , the customer is using a high quality DMX Cable code 9841 and for the 4 pair cable the customer is using 9843 in a way to eliminate or minimize using the amplifiers in between. So he needs the Sweet Light comments on the distance that would travel in these cables without attenuation. If they don’t have these info the customer will need their device output signal specs which will help them to calculate the distance it will travel.
These final requests are from there consultant for the final signature!!

Best Regards,

The interface "Remote" is able to drive up to 512 dmx channels.
If there is less than 512 channels, you can use the interface Remote in stand-alone mode (without computer).
The lightshow could be driven by the IR remote controller which comes with the interface Remote.

If you have more than 512 dmx channels, you need more than one interface.
In that case, you suggest to use the interfaces called "D512" together with a computer.
The software can run lightshows with up to 3072 dmx channels (6 DMX interfaces).
The lightshow could be driven by a smartphone, via a wireless ethernet connection (viewtopic.php?f=47&t=836).

Regarding electrical questions, our knowledge is very limited (we do only software and dmx interfaces). We can say this:
- the internal dmx driver circuitry of our interfaces sends a standard RS485 signal
- for more infos about RS485, please read this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RS-485
- anyway, we strongly suggest to use a few "DMX boosters" located at stategic points (the cost of a dmx booster is around $100, which looks acceptable in front of the total project cost).
