The Lighting Controller

So a couple of Xfactors have shown up on ebay. Before I spend any more money will this allow me to input and control buttons in version 7 with an external DMX console? Run the show w/ the new Xpress box, but input via the Xfactor. I'm using a Mac, but drummer has a PC that I can use if needed. I figure the Xfactor will cost me at least $200 (USD) and the board I console is $240. Lot of money to waste if it doesn't work. Thanks for all the help thus far.

FYI:
- this interface is no longer sold for years
- distributors do not propose maintenance for it (in case of defective)
- dmx input is quiet old ; it was ok with old dmx desks, but we can not guaranty with current models (dmx signal is slightly different sometimes, and interface Box is sensible with that)
