Losing Data Connection to D512

Hi, Recently we upgraded to ShowXpress 7.1.32 150108 During heavy use and sometimes overnight, the D512 will lose its connection to the software and go into its saved scene. We then have to restart the software. At times, we've had to do this several times during a night, and on the 4th or 5th time restarting the software sometimes we get some sort of initializing error and we have to reboot the entire computer to get it back up. (I've asked my lighting tech to take a screenshot)

We have moved the D512 over to another computer with the same software installed and the same symptoms happen.

Please help!

Thank you!

The best chance for us to fix this problem is to be able to reproduce it.
Please post a zip of your lightshow and and tell us how to get that problem.

Please tell us also what was your previous software version.

In the meantime, please try also with the latest patch available here: http://download.thelightingcontroller.c ... roller.zip

It happens randomly. Our previous software version was something before the unified look with the main menu on the splash screen. Lightshow is too big to attach, can I email it?

Yes you can email it.
But if it happen randomly, it will be not easy for us to reproduce it.

Please confirm that D512 loses its connection with V7.1.32 and it never losed its connection with V6 (software before the unified look), with the same computer, the same dmx equipment and the same lightshow.

It did not, but the MIDI controller would go out. That doesn't happen anymore, but I guess we can pick our battles. What are the steps to revert to the latest version 6 until this can be resolved?

You can install both V6 and V7 in the same computer.
You just have to give to different names during the install process.
Then you can run either V6 or V7 ; they will use the same lightshow.

This will be perfect for the test.
You could start with V7.
As soon as there is a problem, you close V7 and you run V6.
And you see if V6 does have any problem.
