I see only the 10 first fixtures

I'm having a strange problem when I plug in my Cable (Chauvet Xpress 100) interface.

My normal fixture addresses range from 1 to 146. However, when I plug in the Cable, it appends at 60 (see both images). The only difference between these two is plugging in the Cable and restarting the program.

I understand why it would cut off at 100, but why am I losing 40 additional channels?

Thanks for your help!

You are also restricted to 10 fixtures on the Cable. I combine certain fixtures to not have more than 10, and as long as I keep to under 100 dmx addresses it is ok. In order to see 3D view, I create the correct fixtures from 101 onwards, and do a dmx patch ie 1 = 1+101, 2=2+102 and so on. The 3D viewer only works when the cable is not connected.

Thanks John!

Was aware of the 100 channels limitation, but didn't know about the 10 fixtures rule. I'll rearrange some things to make it work, and I appreciate your help with the clever patch fix.

Just a tip, in case you're using traditional fixtures: you have for example a "8ch dimmer" at your disposal, that counts as 1 unit ;)

Sounds good, Luc! I have several pairs of RGBW units that I've combined into "one fixture," even though they are technically separate. Weird that it's capped at 10, but at least there are work-arounds :-)

Not so weird: you "just" have to buy a more expensive interface to get control on as many fixtures you want ;)

Good point, Luc. Let me know where I should send the bill ;)
