How to reduce ambient light ?

Postby Bric » 19 August 2023, 16:26

Hello :D

I've seen in some videos of Sweetlight on YouTube, like this one https://youtu.be/EvDCCcNAN9o?t=164 (at 2:44) and some others that we can reduce ambient lightning to nearly zero, resulting in a much better and realistic 3D simulation.

The problem is I can't figure out how to have such a low ambient light since the brightness of my scene is already at the minimum. But I still have much more ambient lightning compared to the video.

Do you know how to have such a low brightness ?

In our video, there are dark textures to the ground and the walls.

Thank you !

Not really the result expected as the objects have the same brightness but it's better

EDIT :

I figured out we can modify the "brightness" of the textured objects in the scene by changing its RGB color so it's perfect ! The walls and the objects are darker now :)

You can try with other render in "3D settings" like "Phong". You also can try in "OpenGL compatibility mode" (lower performance)
