MacOS - Viewer image bug with Mac [fixed]

Postby boogiemarshall » 29 December 2020, 01:06

I'm a DMX noob learning on a brand new MacBook Air with intel processors running Catalina 10.15.3 and when I open the 3D viewer, the image stays small and in the bottom left corner no matter what I do. I started the Imagine course from Darren Field on my wife's old Dell Inspiron laptop and everything works fine on that machine, but the 3D window cannot expand on my mac. Is this a bug, or am I missing something somewhere?

Updated to Catalina 10.15.7 just now. Problem still exists. Should I update to Big Sur?

The same problem has been reported with Big Sur to, so this should not fix it.
Presently, we are not able to reproduce the problem.
Please wait at beginning of next week ; we will be then full team again.
Sorry for this extra delay due to new year long week-end.

Because we are not able to reproduce this problem, we need some more help.

Could you please ?
1. confirm the version of the main program is 9.2.23
2. confirm the version of the 3D program is 5.2.1
3. tell how reacts the view when you rotate it with the mouse/trackpad
4. tell how reacts the view when you resize the 3DView program window
For the two last questions, if possible please post a video.

This should tell us more where comes the problem from.

And could you also please try with the previous version of 3DView (we send it to you via email), and let us know the result ?
To do this, we suggest you to:
- rename the current program 3DView by "3DViewNEW" for instance
- copy the old 3DView program in the same folder
Once the test is over:
- delete the old 3DView program
- rename "3DViewNEW" back to "3DView"
