3 of my gobos are not showing up ? [fixed]

Postby ineedabeatdj » 23 August 2016, 14:51

I have an Intimidator Spot 350, and 3 of my 7 gobos are not showing up in 3D view. I added all of the gobo shapes exactly the same way in the fixture editor. 4 of them show up fine, but 3 don't. I checked to make sure the gobo file was in the correct folders in both the icon folder and 3D View folder, both the 32x32 and 128x128 png files, and they are.

The ones that are not showing up are metal_complex sh3, sh2 & sh4. The gobos that are showing up are color Q260R1, glass 013, metal_complex bio & metal_complex L330SS1.

So basically none of the gobo's named "sh" are showing up for some reason?

The only difference I can tell about the file properties is the gobos that are working have 24 Bit Depth, but the ones that are not working have 32 Bit Depth. I'm guessing that might be causing the gobo's not to work with 3D view for some reason?

Could the developers check this out and see what the problem is?

I'm using the latest Version 8.1.15, but this also wasn't working with version 7.

I attached my fixture file so you can look at it.

Thank you,
Brad

These gobos are not available anymore in V8 (and current V7).

We suggest you to use other gobos, otherwise you will have to manually add them for each new software version.
If you still want to use them, please post the 128*128 png files ; we will check them.

I can confirm gobos for 3DView (at least on Windows) must be 24 bits. The "transparent" color is the black color.

I just upgraded to version 8 and these files are still in my 3DView / gobos folder.

I have attached the 3 files.

Niffo,

How do I convert my current file from 32 bit to 24 bit?

For example with "Gimp" (removing the alpha channel).

Done (with Gimp).

PS : image size must be 128 pixels (it was 130 pixels).

Awesome! That worked. Thanks for the help. So it looks like a few gobo's snuck into the program at the wrong size. I just need to resize them to the correct size of 128x128.
