clone fixture with reversed pan

Postby Charlie » 04 August 2010, 12:07

Hello,

I'm using the latest version of Showdesigner, 6.22.

As I already had with version 5, I have a problem with my Showtec Phantom's. I use them by two, symmetrically placed, one of them pan reversed.

In the Setup, i can't say "clone = 2 but one is pan reversed" so I need to create two fixtures, one with pan reversed. So I address the same DMX channel for both, so I can control them both, and everything's fine.

But in the 3D section, there's only one fixture which react, the other one stays "off"...

How can we do this?

PS: in version 5, i tried to create the second on another DMX channel, then group them into the editor, but it is quite boring to use it this way.

Thanks!
Charlie

Using the function "clone" for 3DView, it is not possible to define any difference (like reverse pan for instance) for the cloned fixtures. In other words, the original fixture and the cloned fixtures are exactely the same.

The software is not able to manage overlapping channels.

We have no solution for the following problem: showing 2 similar fixtures in 3DView, which are both in same dmx address, but with one fixture having pan reversed.
