Control pan with tilt disable [fixed]

Postby MikeyMo16 » 04 April 2012, 18:32

This might not be the right place to post because it's concerning Midi sliders but here we go. I am trying to create two sliders, one for pan and another for tilt. The problem is that every time I attempt to create the scenes it causes one of the sliders to stay at the value 0. For instance, for my pan slider I have 127 scenes and each step is an odd number 3-255. When I add the values to the steps the tilt gets set at 0. I can not disable the tilt channel with out disabling the pan channel. The result is conflicting sliders in live when I want to mix pan and tilt. Does anyone know how I can individually set just the pan or just the tilt? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

It is not possible to drive X with Y disable, and vice versa.

In the source code, "pan / tilt / pan fine / tilt fine" have always been considered as one single entity.

Any way to modify that? Would be great to grab either pan or tilt on the fly, especially with inverted fixtures.

Not in a near future ; sorry for that.
"pan / tilt / pan fine / tilt fine" must stay one entity for hundreds other important reasons.

In next software version (or beta), it will be possible to drive pan with tilt disable (and vice versa).

In setup, change the value of the y channel from "Y" to something else... I used Z.
That will break the link between X and Y and let you run one channel without
enabling the other.

Dammit that's brilliant! Not sure why I didn't think of it myself.

The current version was released March 30th. Has this fix been included in that version?

THanks!
