New MAC user support

Postby jpentertainment » 22 June 2011, 15:13

Hi, i've been using sweetlight for about 5 yrs on windows / pc and now finally moving over to mac. i installed the mac version of the software and dragged the .dg file into application folder. when i launch the application it says no universe found. i'm able to go and declare my fixtures. i have 4 elation design spot 250s. is there anything else i need to install on mac side to get this running? any guidance would really help...thanks. and is there a way to copy my shows over from pc since i have about 50 shows that i created and use every weekend.

To import the lightshows in your MacOS computer, from Windows software V5
- use the V5 to V6 lightshow converter viewtopic.php?f=2&t=48
- use ControlBoard > Export in Windows software V6
- use ControlBoard > Import in MacOS software V6

To import the lightshows in your MacOS computer, from Windows software V6
- use ControlBoard > Export in Windows software V6
- use ControlBoard > Import in MacOS software V6

No universe found

What is your interface ?

Is there any good news about the problem for mac not recordnise the usb dmx dongle, is there something to do or is it better to buy a new controller/ universe? If it is a new universe what is the best for a reasonable prize?

Interface "Cable" is only for Windows.
We suggest you interface "D512".

About a year ago...here in Holland... i bought the Xpress100 USB cable from Chauvet...In the box was a little cd-r with software v.6.24 for both MAC and Windows.
When i use LIVE i can use the DMX and 3D at the same time.

I assumed that the USB cable that u can find on the forum was identical but guess not : )
