Mac v6,333 is not working [fixed]

Postby Detour DJ » 04 June 2013, 03:07

Hey Guys,
I've downloaded the Mac version 6.333 twice now, but my Mac doesn't recognize any of the (4) files in it. Usually, there's a .dmg file that drives the install process, but there's no such file in the 6.333 Mac download. I'm about to swap over to PC and see about that version.

That did the trick. Now the Mac version is working fine. Thanks!

By the way, I really like the master dimmer options now! Great addition! It allows simple, quick expressive control over whatever you assign...very nice feature. I've still only scratched the surface of what ShowXpress can do, and the learning curve isn't exactly shallow, but I'm very pleased with the overall performance and support of the program.

I have downloaded 6.333 and it will not load and run on MacX 10.5.5 I am thinking that is too old to run on this OS. Is that correct? I keep getting an error that the control board is not compatible with this architecture. I have copied the ShowXpress folder to applications and it copies fine...just doesn't run the application. Any ideas? Thanks,

I'm hoping you meant the other way around, because that's probably the issue. ShowXpress v6.333 is up-to-date, but the OS on your Mac is very old. I'm running the latest Mac OS on my Mini, and it's 10.8.(something). believe Apple made some major moves with the OS since then, and many third-party apps have needed updating to remain compatible. ShowXpress runs flawlessly on my Mac Mini. If your Mac meets the requirements, I highly recommend you update the OS then try installing ShowX 6.333 again.

It looks like your Mac is a PowerPC processor. Our software only works on Intel processor.

Yes sorry...I meant it the other way around ...the OS is too old to run the new 6.333 software. We just abandoned the idea of trying to get it to run on that laptop and switched to another and it works great. Thanks,
